Super Bowl XLVI – Ad Winner
We all know that the Giants beat the Patriots in Sunday’s Super Bowl showdown but what isn’t as easy to determine is the winner of the all important ad wars during the big game. During the record breaking 111.3 million US viewers which ad took the crown off the gridiron?
At Topsy Labs, we were curious to find out and ran sentiment analysis on the six biggest ads (by their respective hashtag) for this year’s big game. The ads were:
- GE’s “What Works” – #whatworks
- Jack in the Box’s “Marry Bacon” – #marrybacon
- Best Buy’s “Better Way” – #betterway
- Budweiser’s “Make it Platinum” – #makeitplatinum
- H&M’s “Beckham for H&M” – #beckhamforhm
- Audi’s “So Long Vampires” – #solongvampires
The graph above really speaks for itself and shows a clear winner by almost a two to one margin – Audi’s “So Long Vampires” spoof.
